Mosta Girl Guides Give Out 90 Goodie Bags To Cancer Patients
Over the Christmas period, The Mosta Girl Guides generously collected €150 for Puttinu Cares and gave out around 90 goodie bags to cancer patients at Mater Dei’s SAMOC unit.
The girls made the bags with the help of some parents and volunteers from recycled material, which were then filled with gloves and socks, lip balm, tea, hot chocolate, cereal bars and pencils and colours.
The young guides through this heartwarming gestured hope that the goodie bags, “offer a warm hug to anyone who is going through a difficult time because of their health, so that they continue being strong and do not give up.”
What a good way to end 2024, following several other good deeds led by the Mosta Girl Guides in which they contributed to society in line with one of their mottos “Lend a Hand.”
