A 45-year-old welder was grievously injured earlier today during a workplace incident in Pietá.

The incident happened this morning at around 8:30am, where he was given assistance by a medical team on-site and then taken to Mater Dei.

He was then classified to be suffering from grievous injuries and is receiving further treatment at the hospital.

A police investigation is currently underway.
