Motorcycle Passenger Dies In Late Night Rabat Accident
A 33-year-old Colombian woman and resident of Mtarfa tragically lost her life last night after a motorcycle accident in Rabat.
The accident happened at 22.45pm in Triq it-Tabija when the driver of a Honda motorcycle, a 31-year-old Colombian woman residing in Wied il-Għajn, lost control and crashed into a pole.
The police arrived at the scene and found two women on the street seriously injured, as well as the vehicle lying on the ground.
An ambulance then arrived and took the driver to Mater Dei for treatment while the passenger was unfortunately certified dead on the spot.
Later, the driver was certified to be in a critical condition.
Magistrate Joseph Mifsud opened an inquiry while police investigations are ongoing.
