Moviment Graffiti Objects Zoning Changes In Manikata

Moviment Graffiti submitted an objection against an application that seeks to change the zoning regulations in Manikata.

The group lodged their objection to PC/00013/23, which aims to modify the permissible development within a specific land area in the region.

If this application is approved, it could potentially lead to additional development that may crowd upon the Grade 1 scheduled church.

The applicant intends to alter the Manikata Area Policy Map, designating the area as a residential priority zone and thus allowing for the construction of apartment blocks.

Additionally, this modification would raise the maximum allowable building height from two stories to three stories, including a three-course basement.

Residents of the area have expressed their concerns, urging authorities to classify this area as ODZ land to prevent further development.

Moviment Graffiti is encouraging the public to submit their objections to the Planning Authority.

The deadline to object to this application is 4th October.
