Over 7% Increase In Malta’s Full-Time Employment In One Year

Malta recorded an increase of over 7.3% in registered full-time employment from January 2023 to the same month of this year.

Registered full-time employment totalled 284,480 at the start of the year while part-time as a primary job amounted to 33,735 – a 4% increase when compared to the same period in 2023.

Private sector full-time employment went up by 8.5% over a period of one year reaching 232,490 while public sector full-time employment increased by just 2% totalling 51,990.

As compared to January 2023, full-time employment for males went up by 7.5% amounting to 172,949, while that for females increased by 6.9% reaching 111,531.
