Parks Malta has expressed its regret and apologised for the typo in the sign asking children to be respectful in the San Klement Park in Ħaż-Żabbar.

The sign, which read ‘Be Rispectful, Keep Clean’ was recently circulating on social media, as people criticised the lack of attention needed for four signs to be produced with such a typo.

“Maltese, English, and Maths no longer needed for Junior College,” independent politician Arnold Cassola said when uploading the photo of the sign.

“Parks Malta regrets and apologises for this mistake. The four signs installed at the San Klement Park in Ħaż-Żabbar have been taken down and will be replaced,” Parks Malta stated.

Parks Malta works to provide accessible and improved open spaces in Malta, whilst contributing to the conservation and upkeep of valleys.

“In encouraging the general public to do its part in maintaining a cleaner environment, we routinely embark on awareness-raising activities targeting different areas. Signs are installed in parks and other public areas as part of this effort.”

“Parks Malta reiterates its commitment towards parks, public spaces and valleys.”
