Pedestrian Hit By Stationary Car After Other Car Crashes Into It

Two people were injured and hospitalised following a traffic accident in Gwardamangia early on Tuesday morning.

The collision occurred at around 7am in St Luke’s Square, when a Volkswagen reportedly crashed into the rear of a stationary Mercedes. The force of the impact pushed the Mercedes forward, striking a pedestrian who happened to be walking nearby.

Emergency services were quickly dispatched to the scene. Both the pedestrian and the driver of the Volkswagen were transported to hospital for treatment. Their condition is not yet known.

Authorities are continuing to examine the circumstances that led to the crash.
