Police Arrest 28 Across Malta In Immigration And Vagrancy Sweep

Early this morning, the Police, assisted by officials from the Agency for Detention Services, carried out routine inspections in various locations across Malta in connection with illegal immigration, among other matters.

These inspections took place in public areas in Marsa, St Julian’s, Gżira, and Tas-Sliema, resulting in the arrest of a total of 28 people.

13 of these individuals were found to be living in Malta illegally, while 15 others are under investigation in connection with vagrancy and/or begging for money.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
