Police Searching For Driver After Suspected Hit And Run Killed 51-Year-Old Żejtun Resident
Police have confirmed that it is currently searching for the driver of a suspected hit and run that left a Żejtun resident dead.
Earlier today, a 51-year-old resident of Żejtun was found dead at Triq Anton Buttigieg in Żejtun, at around 11:45pm.
“This is being investigated as a possible hit and run,” police spokesperson Brandon Pisani told TVMNews.
Police have confirmed that a CCTV camera nearby caught the accident on film, with a search currently underway.
The man was certified dead on the scene, with authorities closing off the streets.
Investigations are underway to identify the driver and determine what happened exactly.
Police have also appealed to anyone that might have seen the hit and run occurring or have any other related information to contact them.
