Malta’s police are currently investigating a hold-up that happened late last night at around midnight in St Paul’s Bay.

At around 00:45am, police were notified of a hold-up in Triq Efesu, which led to an undisclosed amount of cash being stolen.

From preliminary investigations, it resulted that two men wearing masks, one armed with a knife, entered the shop and demanded that the 55-year-old English cashier give them the money.

The thiefs then escaped the scene, and while no one was injured, the police has not yet caught the perpetrators.

Investigations are currently underway.
