Police Seize €15,000 Worth Of Drugs From Man In Qawra
Police have made a significant move in the fight against drug trafficking with the arrest of a 39-year-old man from Ethiopia.
Officers conducted a search at a shop on Triq il-Maskli, Qawra, where drugs were allegedly being trafficked. During the operation, just under 1.5 kilograms of a substance suspected to be cannabis were seized.
The street value of the seized drugs was estimated at around €15,000. In addition, over €64,500 in cash was confiscated.
The case was reported to Magistrate Monica Borg Galea, who has ordered an inquiry.
The man remains in custody and is expected to appear in court in the coming days
