Prime Minister, Robert Abela, spoke briefly in Paola, Qormi and Rabat informing that pensions will once again be raised in the October budget.

Abela referred to the country’s finances saying that parliament’s aim is to reduce the deficit more than planned. This decision was reached in the context where other EU countries are raising taxes, yet in Malta the largest tax cut in history was implemented.
