A walk in solidarity with Palestine has been announced by Moviment Graffitti, the Embassy of Palestine in Malta and Youth for Palestine.

The event will take place tomorrow and commemorate the Nakba, which was the mass displacement of 1948 during the Arab-Israeli war which saw the expulsion of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from their lands and homes.

The activists will further denounce the ongoing destruction of Gaza which some have labelled a “genocide”.

The walk will start from Independence Gardens in Sliema at 6.30pm and it will finish around an hour later near Exiles.

Following short speeches, a symbolic event and an Open Mic of solidarity with Palestine, with the participation of writers and artists, will take place.
