Ryanair Claps Back At Baggage Fee Complaints In Maltese Marketing Stunt

Ryanair returned with its latest marketing stunt engaging the Maltese people with a post written in Maltese.

“Il-bagalji emozzjonali jiswew iżjed,” wrote Ryanair on its Facebook page, which translates into “emotional baggage costs more.”

This is a small dig at some of Ryanair’s customers who have complained about the increase in baggage fees as well as fees issued by the airline’s officials for hand luggage that exceeds the size limit.

Ryanair isn’t new to marketing stunts like these, in fact, the airline’s social media frequently posts making fun of airport coffee prices in Rome, calling out Ibiza for being a place to spend “life savings” and so much more.

Maltese people took to the comments and several of them said that the Ryanair team started celebrating Santa Marija early while others called for someone to hand the marketing team a Kinnie as they commended their effort.

What do you think of Ryanair’s latest marketing stunt?
