Salt Fest by BirdLife Malta is back for the public to enjoy visiting Malta’s historic salt pans and for all the family to get involved in activities held by local NGOs on 26th and 27th July.

The event will be held at the Salina Nature Reserve between 4pm and 8.30pm and is free of charge for all.

The Salt Fest is a unique cultural and environmental festival celebrating the heritage of Malta’s iconic Salina salt pans. Join us for an unforgettable weekend of history, nature, and sustainability in one of the island’s most fascinating landscapes.

Some activities include a special site tour of Salina including the catacombs, fougasse and salt museum, interactive environmental and cultural workshops by local NGOs, VR experiences and so much more.

Last year’s event welcomed over 1,000 visitors and this year, the organisers are super excited to expand the programme with even more activities and collaborations.
