Sam Smith Performing In Malta This August At SummerDaze Festival

Malta’s annual summer highlight, the SummerDaze Festival, is set to make its highly anticipated return this August, featuring its biggest headliners to date. The festival is presented in partnership with Universal Music Group, BBC Radio 1 Dance Anthems, and Creamfields.

This year’s festival will be headlined by multi-platinum, GRAMMY and BRIT award-winning artist Sam Smith, who will perform an unforgettable full set from their Gloria: The Blackout Tour. Expressing excitement about their upcoming performance, Sam Smith said, “I’m delighted to be taking to the stage in glorious Malta for the first time at SummerDaze and bring my Gloria: The Blackout show to life for everyone!”

Supporting acts include UK pop sensation Becky Hill and Shaun Farrugia. Additionally, BBC Radio 1 Dance Anthems’ Charlie Hedges and friends will be DJing, ensuring this is the live music event of the summer you cannot miss. All artists will perform at Ta’ Qali National Park on Thursday, 15th August.

Tickets for the main event are priced at €10, which includes an item of official SummerDaze merchandise and a reusable plastic cup to be used throughout the festival. Guests will also receive a free bottle of water upon entrance.

The SummerDaze week runs from 11th to 18th August, featuring a series of events across the island. Kicking off with Purple Disco Machine at Café Del Mar followed by two memorable boat parties around the islands on 12th and 13th. On the 14th, Meduza and James Hype will take over UNO Malta for their Malta debut of Our House, ahead of the main event at Ta’ Qali National Park.

On 16th August, festival-goers will enjoy the best of hip hop, RnB, and reggaeton with Vida Loca at UNO Malta. On the 17th, UNO Malta will host the first-ever BBC Radio 1 Live Broadcast. The final day of the festival, the following day will see Kungs and Danny Howard closing the event with one last night at Café Del Mar.

With an impressive lineup and a variety of events, SummerDaze Festival promises to be an unforgettable celebration of music and culture in Malta this summer.
