Santa Luċija Students Set Record With 52-Metre Ribbon Of Breast Cancer Awareness Cookies

Students from Santa Luċija Secondary School achieved a new national record by creating a 52.20-meter-long display of 580 ribbon-shaped cookies in honour of breast cancer awareness.
This record-breaking initiative was part of their KTI curriculum, which focuses on real-life skills. The students set up a mini-enterprise, “Cookies and Ribbons,” learning everything from poster design to hands-on baking as they prepared for the event.
The project, launched during October’s global breast cancer awareness month, aimed to inspire community support while equipping students with practical skills.
Working together, the students combined creativity with a commitment to an important cause, ultimately producing a visual impact with their cookie ribbon that brought attention to breast cancer awareness.
In recognition of their impressive work, Malta Records visited the school to award them the national record for the largest display of ribbon-shaped cookies symbolising breast cancer awareness.
This initiative not only celebrated the students’ creativity but also showcased their dedication to spreading awareness for a meaningful cause.
Congratulations to Santa Luċija Secondary School on their achievement!
