A local online publication has recently launched an initiative to collect money for charity – and it’s doing this in a truly creative way.

With Willinsky Magazine behind it, a local platform that listens to the stories and people that shape the island, all sorts of public figures are being asked for their signatures.

Speaking with the founder, he explained how the signatures, directly onto a canvas, will be auctioned, with the proceedings going towards the Malta Community Chest Fund and Puttinu Cares. 

“I am very active and very fortunate to be meeting many people – hearing their stories – appreciating their effort into changing Malta for a better place, as the slogan goes – People and places that shape Malta,” Willinsky told Lovin Malta.

“This is why I came up with the idea of making this Charity Project. I’ve approached the Malta Community Chest Fund and Puttinu Cares at I strongly believe in their mission and impact – people are signing the canvases and have an opportunity for a short video story sharing a motivational message,” he explained.

“It might seem small but once many messages and signatures gather, the more awareness and strength, and the influence will grow.”

“The canvases will then be auctioned by these two charities and whatever it will raise will already be a success, as every effort counts,” he expressed.

“I am strongly convinced that together we can do it while having fun too! I cannot tell you how successful this will be but for sure it’s worth trying!”

The website will also continue to be uploaded with pictures of all the people while they are signing the canvases.
