A Sliema resident took to Facebook to appeal for the community to help the family that lived in the house that caught fire last night.

“They have lost many of their possessions and their property has experienced severe damage. They do not have electricity, water, appliances and more,” wrote Vigar Brian Jp on Facebook.

The house caught fire yesterday evening on Rudolph Street in Sliema at around 11.30pm. The fire was extinguished by the Civil Protection Department and fortunately, no injuries were sustained. The Vella family will be preparing a list of the aid they need and Vigar Brian Jp will be sharing it to Facebook as soon as it’s compiled.
