Student activist group Studenti Attivisti has proudly announced the launch of free menstrual product distribution at Junior College (JC), the first for a student based organisation at JC.

This marks a major milestone in their campaign for accessible menstrual care in educational institutions, which took many steps in achieving.

This initiative, in collaboration with the Malta Health Students’ Association, comes after a widely-supported petition calling for free menstrual products on campus.

Starting today, 7th January, these essential products are being distributed in student bathrooms on school premises.

“By providing free menstrual products, we hope to spark meaningful conversations about menstruation and the importance of accessibility in all educational institutions,” Studenti Attivisti said.

While this is a significant achievement, the campaign is far from over. The group aims to expand the initiative to other schools across Malta and Gozo, calling for broader support.

You can help by following their campaign on social media and sharing their message to promote equality and dignity for all students.

Well done to all involved!
