The Transport Ministry has responded to allegations recently made by PN MP Adrian Delia over LESA and Transport Malta’s involvement with one of Christian Borg’s companies, Princess Operations Ltd.

Speaking with Lovin Malta, a spokesperson for the Ministry said that “the Minister did not lie”.

“The minister was asked whether the company whose license has been suspended by Transport Malta is leasing cars to the same authority.”

“The minister is informed that the tender issued by Transport Malta was won by a company (Princess Operations Limited) which holds an operator’s license which is separate and distinct from the operator license in the name of Christian Borg (Princess Garage).”

This comes after Delia accused the Transport Minister of lying when he denied that LESA and Transport Malta had contracts with Princess Operations Ltd.

Delia claimed that he had asked Farrugia directly if LESA and TM were still leasing cars from Christian Borg, to which the minister reportedly replied no.

Delia also published contracts on social media allegedly showing that Princess Operations Ltd, one of Borg’s companies, was indeed the contractor awarded the contracts.

Christian Borg, the owner of multiple companies including No Deposit Cars Malta Ltd, Princess Operations Ltd, and Princess Construction Ltd, has recently been at the centre of several fraud accusations, kidnapping charges, and allegations of insider trading with Prime Minister Robert Abela.

Additionally, he is also being accused of money laundering, including a €100,000 deposit across 47 ATMs in just a month.
