‘The World Lost A Beautiful Soul’: Tributes Pour In For Marie Claire Lombardi Following Traffic Accident In Rabat
Marie Claire Lombardi has been identified as the victim of the traffic accident in Rabat and tributes are pouring in for the 45-year-old after she lost control and fell off of her motorbike.
“Everyone loved you because the smile on your face filled every place you entered with joy,” her uncle, author Gino Lombardi, said in a heart-breaking social media post.
Marie Claire was a hairdresser who was well-loved by her friends and family who cherished her altruistic and bubbly personality.
However, she was involved in a fatal traffic accident yesterday at 5.30pm in Triq l-Imdina Rabat where she lost control of her Yamaha motorcycle and fell.
She was quickly rushed to Mater Dei Hospital but was unfortunately pronounced dead a short while after.
“How could you leave us Marie Claire? Today we woke up to face the reality that you are no longer with us. I spent all night trying to believe that this was just a bad dream,” Gino tragically shared.
“I ask the Lord to give strength to my dear brother, no one can feel your absence as much as him. Now enjoy the God you loved so much.”
“Rest in peace dear Marie Claire. I will always remember that beautiful smile on your face. You were there whenever someone was in need. The world lost such a beautiful soul,” a dear friend wrote.
“Today we woke up to such terrible news, saddened by the loss of a friend and colleague. Marie Claire Lombardi may you rest in peace and deepest condolences to all the family,” another friend said.
This tragic accident marks the country’s 21st road fatality this year.
