‘They Can Finally Rest In Peace’: Pandolfino Family Thanks Everyone Involved In Securing Justice

The Pandolfino family has issued a heartfelt statement thanking all those involved in securing justice for the murders of their beloved Chris Pandolfino and Ivor Maciejowski.
“We can never bring Chris and Ivor back, but now they can finally rest in peace, and live forever in our hearts ,” Pippo Pandolfino, Chris’ brother, wrote on social media following the guilty verdict of the co-accused yesterday afternoon.
Yesterday marked the end of a 12-day trial into the Sliema double murder of August 2020. Daniel Muka was unanimously found guilty of the heinous murder in the couple’s home.
Victor Dragomanski, Muka’s co-accused, was acquitted of complicity in homicide by a 6-3 jury verdict but found guilty of theft leading to homicide – an offence that also carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
“With today’s verdict, we can finally bring some closure to the heinous murders of Chris and Ivor. Slowly but surely justice has prevailed,” Pippo wrote.
On behalf of the family, Pippo Pandolfino publicly thanked everyone involved in bringing justice despite the callous attempts by Muka to derail the trial.
He specifically thanked the police force, particularly Insp James Grech and Insp Colin Sheldon for their “impeccable work and unwavering dedication to this case.”
Magistrates Joe Mifsud and Nadine Lia involved in the compilation of evidence, as well as the presiding Madam Justice Natasha Galea Sciberras who was “instrumental in bringing justice to light.”
Attorney General lawyers Kevin Valletta and Maria Francesca Spiteri. “Your incredible work and compassion will not be forgotten.”
“Last but not least, immense appreciation to our parte civile lawyers Dr Joe Giglio and Dr Michaela Giglio. We couldn’t have done it without you.”
Pippo began concluding by thanking all witnesses, the court-appointed experts and of course, the Jurors.
“Finally I want to thank the Maciejowski family for sharing this painful journey with us, my wife Angele for being my rock, other amazing family members and all our friends. We are forever grateful.”
Chris Pandolfino and Ivor Maciejowski were killed in their Sliema home in August 2020. The third man involved in the homicide – Jesper Kristiansen – pleaded guilty to the murder and was sentenced to 40 years in prison. The men spent just four minutes in the home as they killed and stole from Pandolfino and Maciejowski.
Muka and Dragomanski will now await their sentencing.
