Three Taken To Hospital After Birkirkara Car Crash

Three people were hospitalised this morning after a two-car collision in Birkirkara.

Police were informed of the incident on Dun Karm Street at around 7am. Upon a preliminary investigation, they discovered that a crash had occurred Honda Fit driven by a 72-year-old man residing in L-Iklin and a Suzuki Swift driven by a 28-year-old man residing in Ħaż-Żebbuġ. A 66-year-old woman from L-Iklin was a passenger in the Honda.

The three individuals were assisted by a medical team and members of the Civil Protection Department before being taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. Later, the two individuals in the Honda were certified to have sustained grievous injuries, while the other driver was certified to have suffered minor injuries.

Police investigations into the case are ongoing.
