The Nationalist Party has called a national protest for tonight following the annulment of the controversial Vitals-Steward hospital deal which cost taxpayers millions.

Making the call to retrieve the hospitals back for the people, the protest is set to commence tonight at 6pm in front of Malta’s Parliament.

“Not only are Robert Abela and his friends complicit in the fraudulent contract of Vitals and Steward, but they also need to consistently control the national broadcasting, so that they continue defending these corrupt deals,” PN Leader Bernard Grech said during a press conference earlier today.

“Tonight, at 6pm in front of the law courts, we will be bringing the fight for truth back to life,” he said.

“During this protest, we will once again be fighting to return Malta’s hospitals back to the people.”

The press conference came after the appeals court recently confirmed a sentence that found PBS and the Broadcasting Authority failing to act impartially.
