Turkish Embassy No Longer Accepting Food And Clothing But Has Asked For Other Essential Items

The Turkish Embassy has closed donations for clothing and food but has instead asked for money and heating items that earthquake survivors urgently need.

The items they have outlined are:

  • Winter tents;
  • Gas heaters;
  • Blankets (new and unused);
  • Camping cots;
  • Camping mats for tents;
  • Mobile toilets and shower cabins and;
  • Container homes.

The embassy also emphasised the urgent need for financial donations, dubbing them as “more useful” for earthquake survivors.

Meanwhile, the embassy kindly thanked the public for its help and support, along with acknowledging the “generous” donations that were collected “beyond expectations”.
