Two men were hospitalised after an unmanned delivery truck hit them while they were walking in Valletta.

The incident occurred at around 9:20am, along Triq it-Teatru Antik in Valletta, a police spokesperson told Lovin Malta. 

Police explained how the incident was caused by an unmanned delivery truck that started moving by itself, consequently hitting two men before crashing into scaffolding nearby.

The two men have been taken to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment for their injuries.

Their conditions or identity have not yet been confirmed.
