Two Men Injured After Altercation Involving Glass Bottle In St Julian’s

Two men were taken to Mater Dei Hospital after an argument involving a glass bottle.
At around 3am, police were informed that their assistance was needed in Triq Paceville St Julian’s.
When they arrived at the scene, they found a 41-year-old Libyan man with wounds on his face.
The man claimed that he was in a fight with another man who had left the scene.
While the police were filing this report, another team were doing rounds at Spinola Garden where they found a 27-year-old British man who was also wounded.
When they approached him, the man claimed that he had been in an argument a few minutes before they arrived.
Initial investigations show that the two men argued and a glass bottle was used in the fight.
They were both taken to hospital for further medical assistance where it was confirmed they had sustained grievous injuries.
Police investigations are currently ongoing.
