Two People Rescued By Helicopter From Sea In Wied Iż-Zurrieq
Two people were rescued after finding themselves in difficulty at sea in Wied iż-Żurrieq.
The Armed Forces of Malta received a 112 call earlier this morning pleading for assistance.
The Malta Rescue Coordination Centre immediately dispatched an AFM helicopter and successfully rescued the persons. They were safely handed over to medical staff for further attention.
“The Armed Forces of Malta urges the general public to ensure their safety and follow any weather warnings issued,” the AFM wrote in a statement.
