Unhappy Brit Newly-Weds Receive £4,000 In Compensation After Ruined Wedding In Malta

Following their calamitous wedding last month, a British couple is getting some financial compensation.

Natalie Rhodes and her husband Adam Butterworth had hopes of living their dream wedding on the sunny, picturesque island – however, their dreams were dashed due to a double-booking at their ceremony venue.

A nearby unexpected “rave” caused major issues for the couple and their loved ones on what was meant to be their big day.

Rhodes states that the organisers, Perfect Weddings Abroad, are totally at fault for ruining her wedding, and the company have since admitted the venue had been double-booked.

They went on to defend themselves by saying the other booking was a “corporate celebration for 50 employees and was restricted to the other half of the beach”.

Nonetheless, the unhappy couple have since been given £4,000 as a “goodwill gesture” by Perfect Weddings Abroad, Times of Malta reported.

This covers two-thirds of the just under £6,000 that the couple paid to have the wedding organised for them.

Even after that terrible experience, Rhodes insisted that she and her husband are keen to renew their vows and also said that they love Malta and they “will definitely be back”.
