Valletta Welcomes 2024 With A Grand Celebration
Over 50,000 people, including both locals and tourists, gathered in Valletta to ring in 2024, creating a vibrant atmosphere in Malta’s capital city.
The event, which was a testament to its success, featured live performances at St George’s Square. It was the highlight of a month-long series of festivities, part of “Christmas in the Capital,” organised by the Valletta Cultural Agency.
The evening kicked off with performances by Lara and the Jukeboys band, followed by The Palace String Orchestra led by Ryan Paul Abela.
The event also showcased Malta’s top talents such as AIDAN, Drakard, Klinsmann, Jasmine, Megan May, Sarah Bonnici, and special guest Emma Muscat.
As the countdown approached, hosts alongside DJ Koroma & DJ Miggy captivated the audience in Valletta and viewers on local TV with a dynamic mash-up of dance anthems, enhanced by stage effects and fireworks, ushering in the New Year with flair.
Ron, Taryn Mamo Cefai, and Keane Cutajar hosted the event, which was organized by G7 Events. The Valletta Cultural Agency, under the Ministry for National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government, and with support from the Malta Tourism Authority, facilitated this grand celebration.
The success of this event is a promising sign for future initiatives planned by the Valletta Cultural Agency in the upcoming months.
