Watch: Car Bursts Into Flames In Ħ’Attard, No Injuries Reported
A dramatic scene unfolded on Monday evening in Triq iż-Żagħfran, Ħ’Attard, when a vehicle unexpectedly caught fire shortly after 6pm. Thick smoke and flames quickly drew attention, prompting an immediate response from the Civil Protection Department (CPD), which rushed to the scene to contain the blaze and ensure public safety.

A spokesperson for the police told Lovin Malta, the car’s owner was behind the wheel when a passerby alerted him to what appeared to be smoke emerging from the vehicle. Acting quickly, the driver pulled over to the side of the road and exited the car. Within moments, the vehicle was engulfed in flames.
Emergency services were immediately called.
CPD officials arrived promptly and managed to bring the blaze under control. An ambulance was also dispatched as a precaution; however, the driver was found to be unharmed, having exited the vehicle before the fire intensified.
At this stage, the exact cause of the fire remains unknown, and investigations are underway to determine what may have triggered the incident.
Despite the alarming scene, no injuries were reported, and the swift response by both the bystander and emergency services helped prevent a potentially more serious outcome.
