When asked about whether she’s ever been obstructed by tables and chairs in the squares of Malta and Gozo she couldn’t recount a specific moment. But she did explain that walking with pushchairs or two small toddlers is no easy feat in the islands’ streets.

“But the most important thing is not whether I’ve found myself in that situation – a lot of other people have found themselves in that situation,” she said.

When asked whether there should be regulation, she was quick to say that enforcement is what’s missing.

“The rules are there, but rules are useless unless they are enforced.”

Stay tuned for more clips where Lovin Malta’s Ana Tortell discusses more hot topics affecting the islands today with the President.
