“The sun rose with tears rolling down its cheeks. Sliema, and the whole island, was shocked over this unfortunate episode.”

“As a community celebrating the feast of our patron saint, Saint Gregory the Great, we ask you all to stand up and join us for a minute of silence to honour her memory.”

At that touching moment, all attendees rose to their feet and honoured Paulina with a sincere moment of silence.

The concert took place last Saturday by Soċjeta Mużikali San Girgor Sliema during the festa of their patron saint.

Paulina was a 29-year-old polish woman and dedicated cat lover who was killed in the early hours of the morning at the start of the year.

Prior to her murder, Paulina was brutally raped by Abner Aquilina, a 20-year-old man from Żejtun.

The trial against Aquilina is currently ongoing.
