Watch: Erm, False Alarm?! Dale And Nicola Announce First Official Day As Couple One Hour After Fake Break-Up Announcement

Soooo yeah – turns out Love Island Malta finalists Dale Mallia and Nicola just baited a whole nation.
Barely an hour after taking to Instagram to announce they had “decided to part ways”, Dale took to social media for a number of long Instagram stories where he said he was opening up on hate speech for the first time following the (now proven to be fake) news.
Opening up about being the youngest islander and how he didn’t let any of the comments in the last months get to him because he had been bullied before when he was younger, Dale said what he had received had gone way beyond “constructive criticism”, saying people should instead be focusing on war, politics and the economic situation, other than a reality TV show.

“Think before you speak,” Dale said… moments before getting ready to drop a bombshell. “You know what the funny thing is, unfortunately? Babe, come here, please.” Cue Nicola coming in from the side to embrace him.
“Today was the first official day that Nicola and I were official,” Dale said as Nicola smiled behind him. “She is now my girlfriend and we are official. Can you realise how, in five minutes after putting up story, I started getting hate? Focus on other things. I wanted to prove a point. Take it back whoever said that stuff.”
“A big to anyone to make it even worse because of supporting us,” Dale finished his rant, cheekily starting to put up a middle finger before laughing and saying he wouldn’t actually do it.
What do you make of this?
