Watch: Final Farewell Given To Khim Bahadur Pun

This morning, a final farewell was given to a 42-year-old man from Nepal who died after a hit and run in Birkirkara on 10th August.

The crash happened at around 5:20am in Triq Salvu Psaila, involving a Kymco motorcycle and a Maserati Levante. After the collision, the car struck three parked vehicles before the driver and two passengers fled the scene.

Pun had moved to Malta three years ago and had supported his three children by working as a food courier. According to the police, the 42-year-old victim, who had been a resident in Birkirkara, died after a Maserati Levante crashed into the Kymco motorbike he was riding.

After the impact, the Maserati crashed into three parked vehicles, and the three people inside it fled the scene on foot. The alleged 17-year-old driver, and  two 18-year-old passengers were arrested.

The community has come together to hold a vigil and to raise money for his repatriation, raising over €29,000 as of the time of writing.
