Giacomo Gatt, the young Gozitan boy whose daring attempt at the traditional ġostra went viral two years ago, has taken on the challenge once more.
On a non-greased pole, he made it all the way to the edge of the wooden beam, a promising warm-up for the official ġostra held in Xlendi yesterday during the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
The moment was captured by his proud father, Xlendi locals delighted to share a special family moment with the Maltese public.
Giacomo’s original attempt back in 2023 drew global attention, garnering over 24 million views.
