Watch: ‘I Asked God Why This Tragedy Took Place’ – Zaylen’s Mother Speaks Out After Son’s Heartbreaking Death

Six-year-old Zaylen tragically passed away on Sunday evening and his mother, Francesca Borg has spoken on the incident in her first interview since the incident with NET news.
“I couldn’t understand what he [Zaylen’s father] was saying. He said that they found him and after I asked if he was still alive, he started saying ‘dead’,” said Francesca. “I got out of the car crying asking God why this tragedy took place.”
“I was ready to bear the cross of having children, it’s not a ‘cross’ because I had a child but having a child on the autism spectrum is not easy and he was very severe and also had ADHD,” said Borg during the interview.

“With the heaviest heart, I share the unimaginable loss of my beloved son, Zaylen — my sweet, joyful boy who brought light, laughter, and love into every moment of our lives. At just six years old, Zaylen touched the hearts of everyone who knew him. Though his time with us was far too short, his spirit will live on forever,” wrote Borg on social media.
Zaylen’s mother went on to announce on social media that the funeral mass will be held at Għargħur Parish Church on Saturday 28th June at 8.00am. She asked for those attending to wear white and blue, “colours that reflect his pure soul and the brightness he brought into our world.”
Lovin Malta extends its deepest condolences to Zaylen’s family
