Watch: Isabelle Bonnici Wins Mvintage Woman Of The Year And Shares Honour With All Victims Suffering Injustice
Isabelle Bonnici, the mother of Jean Paul Sofia, was named Woman of the Year during last night’s Mvintage award ceremony.
This is the second year the ceremony has been organised by the jewellery brand, which shortlisted five women for the award.
Besides Isabelle, the other nominees were Francesca Fenech Conti, Josette Frendo, Izi Micallef and Karen Vella.
Isabelle became well known after starting a fight for justice for her son Jean Paul Sofia following his tragic death in a construction incident last December.

She has tirelessly campaigned and, through her efforts, managed to persuade the government to conduct a public inquiry to thoroughly examine the system and prevent similar incidents in the future.
After expressing her gratitude to Mvintage for the award, Bonnici announced she would be sharing the title with all women who suffer injustices concerning their children.
“I would like to share his award with my son Jean Paul and all victims of construction accidents who give me the strength to continue working so that the construction sector can be safer and we can have laws to prevent anyone going through what my family is going through,” Isabelle expressed.
Well done Isabelle!
