Watch: Large Number Of Cocaine, Heroin And Cannabis Sachets Confiscated In Marsa Police Operation

Last night in Marsa, the Police carried out an operation and confiscated a large amount of cocaine, heroin, synthetic cannabis, all ready for street-level distribution.
The success of the operation was thanks to a joint effort between various sections of the Police, beginning shortly after 8pm and concluding in the early hours of the morning at around 1am.
After several days of investigations and observations on garages in Marsa, the Police surrounded a garage allegedly being used for drug trafficking. They apprehended a man following a search where 385 sachets of cocaine, 250 sachets of heroin, and 45 sachets of synthetic cannabis were discovered.

A substantial amount of cash was also found at the same garage, alongside iron bars, knives, mobile phones, CCTV cameras, and other objects associated with drug trafficking.
Simultaneously, the Police also addressed irregular immigration and conducted various checks on different streets, where 67 individuals illegally residing in Malta were arrested.
These people were taken to a detention centre and immediate steps were taken to repatriate them to their country of origin or a country where they can legally seek asylum.
In addition, there were also arrests related to prostitution – in fact €4,600 in cash was confiscated.
