A huge tuna crashed St Julian’s feast last night, surprising and shocking locals and tourists alike in the busy town.

As people were enjoying the last night of the feast, in a footage shared by Natasha Turner, the fish was seen struggling in the shallow water at the beginning of the bay, thrashing around the sea as it frantically tried to get unstuck from the rocky shallows.

Two people went down to the water to help the fish back into the water, trying to swim out of Spinola Bay. Unfortunately, in photos sent to Lovin Malta, it seems that the tuna died on the rocks later that night, with more photos from this morning showing the floating carcass still there.

Did you spot this tuna in Spinola Bay?
