Watch: Man Filmed Casually Throwing E-Scooters Onto Balluta Rocks
A video that’s currently making the rounds on social media captured a man vandalising an electric scooter by throwing it off the Sliema promenade.
Footage shows a man picking up the scooter and throwing it onto the rocks below while bystanders watched and filmed him during the night.
The incident happened at around 1.30am on Tuesday night, and was filmed next to Balluta’s Neptunes – and it turns out the scooter wasn’t the first one he’d vandalized that night.
The person who filmed the ordeal told Lovin Malta they only took out their phone to film it because the man had thrown another scooter off the promenade ledge just moments before.
While many condemned the act, some said that while they don’t agree with the approach, something needs to be done to address scooters being left lying around everywhere, many times even obstructing pavements and parking spots.
