Watch: Miss Universe Malta Sets Off To Mexico For 73rd International Competition
Miss Universe Malta set off for Mexico this morning to represent the Maltese islands at the 73rd edition of the Miss Universe competition.
The Miss Universe Malta team shared a reel capturing her send-off at the Airport, as this year’s representative, Beatrice Njoya, held the Maltese flag proudly.
The 39-year-old mother of three, who represented St Paul’s Bay, has become a national icon, challenging beauty standards and breaking stereotypes surrounding age and family in pageantry.
This makes Njoya the oldest contestant to ever be crowned Miss Universe Malta, with the Cameroon-native also being a survivor of domestic violence.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of Mexico, this year’s competition promises to be an unforgettable experience as she competes alongside representatives from around the globe.
Competing on 16th November in Mexico City’s Arena Ciudad de México, she’ll join over 130 contestants from around the globe in a series of events designed to celebrate culture, diversity, and talent.
