On the way to Għadira and ready for an insane 160-kilometre swim which will see him not sleeping or stopping for three straight days, Neil Agius is all smiles and as positive as can be.

“Bonġu, not sure how I managed to get in 10 hours of sleep,” Neil told his followers this morning in the car to Mellieħa. “But I guess I’m going to need it. Next time I sleep it will be Tuesday.”

Neil is expected to leave Mellieħa shortly, between 8.30am and 9am, and will make his way southeast to swim around Malta. Tomorrow, he is expected have arrived in Gozo, swimming around the sister island before coming back round to Malta. And he’d have another day of swimming left ahead of him.

Let’s go Neil!
