A Ukrainian woman was spotted watering the plants at the Tower playing field by Sliema Mayor John Pillow yesterday evening.

“It turns out, she’s continuing a beautiful tradition started by her grandfather, who made sure the plants were cared for even after he had to return to Ukraine,” wrote Sliema Mayor John Pillow.

Pillow went on to praise the woman and highlight how these small acts of kindness can make a big difference in the community.
