Watch: Regional Road Accident Sends Motorcyclist To Hospital And Causes Major Traffic Gridlock

An accident between one motorbike and two vehicles has sent a motorcyclist to hospital and has caused a major traffic gridlock on Regional Road and beyond.
Police were informed of the incident at 5.20pm, they were initially told that there was a crash between two motorbikes but upon surveying the incident, they discovered that it involved one motorbike and two vehicles, officials told Lovin Malta.
The incident occurred in the tunnels of Santa Venera, direction Marsa and unfortunately, the person driving the motorbike had to be taken to hospital. As of now, their age, gender, nationality, and condition are unknown.
Following the incident, Regional Road had to be partially closed which has caused a major traffic gridlock, starting as far as St Julian’s.
Footage sent to Lovin Malta shows endless rows of stationary break-lights lightening up the dark January streets.
