The children were brought to Malta last week accompanied by relatives in search of medical treatment which was carried out at Mater Dei Hospital. Abela communicated with the families of the patients and assured them that Malta is working for peace as he expressed his solidarity with the victims of war. Lydia Abela handed out presents that were donated by Maltese children in the “Rigal bi Mħabba” campaign that was held last Christmas.

This humanitarian operation was coordinated by the European Union Civil Protection mechanism with the collaboration of Malta’s Department of Civil Protection.
