Watch: Smoke Arises In Busy Birkirkara Road After Van Catches Fire
Dark smoke was rising into the air of a busy road in Birkirkara this morning after a van caught on fire.
Police told Lovin Malta that the report was received at around 10.20am, with the incident occurring along Naxxar Road, Birkirkara.
Various footage shared with Lovin Malta shows the van’s bonnet on fire as cars drive past it, as commotion and heavy traffic ensued along the main road.
Meanwhile, it has not yet been confirmed whether the incident caused any injuries.
Members from the Civil Protection Department have since arrived on site and successfully put out the fire.
