Watch: Steph Rodgers’ Maltese Lesson Ends With An Aussie Saying ‘F*ck You’

An Aussie stumbled upon one of Steph Rodgers’ videos and gave Maltese a go with hilarious results.

Steph Rodgers, better known as @steph95_x on social media, is a mumfluencer and educator who posts reels teaching her followers the quirks of the Maltese language.

In the video that Aussie @beauchek tried his hand at, Rodgers throws out words like “kant,” “xita,” and “fakkar” — which, to English ears, sound suspiciously like swear words. Naturally, this prompted some very confused expressions from @beauchek.

Things get even funnier at the end, when Rodgers demonstrates the conjugation of “fakkar” and @beauchek can’t resist making a cheeky joke, finishing with “f*ck you” as a playful twist on the Maltese word.

It’s safe to say that Maltese pronunciation can be tricky — and highly entertaining to watch when someone foreign tries it.
