A video showing a naked man riding a motorcycle along Triq il-Mimosa in Pietà has sparked both mockery and concern about the type of tourists Malta is attracting.
Although it remains unclear whether the rider, seen wearing only a helmet and sliders, is a tourist, the motorcycle’s number plate indicates it may be a rental vehicle.

In recent weeks, there has been a growing number of complaints regarding the behaviour of certain visitors to the island.
PN MP Graziella Attard Previ was among those who expressed frustration over tourists dressed inappropriately in popular areas such as Valletta and Sliema.
Just yesterday, Swieqi mayor Noel Muscat issued a letter to the Prime Minister, raising alarm over what he called a crisis in the locality driven by the unchecked expansion of short-term rental apartments.
Muscat expressed deep concern that Swieqi’s identity is being severely undermined and eroded due to rampant commercialisation.
Key issues affecting the area include frequent late-night parties, improper waste disposal, and a lack of effective enforcement in tourist-heavy zones.
